heres the deal guys...alot of people are showing up to this site trying to sell there products...rods, lures, shirts, fishing trips...whatever!!  what needs to happen here is members should talk about the equipment they use..what they like. and dislike.. I am not trying to sell rods for basslegion... but if you want a good fishing rod you need to talk to him..he has made me several bass rods.. everyone of them has been top notch..he only uses top quality parts and pays attention to details..the great thing is you get what you ask for...at a fair price..that is way better than going to walmart or basspro for some china made bullsh%$t.. remember you are only as good as the equipment you use.... BASSLEGION RODS...  ROCK !!

I agree, so to get the discussion started.  I have a question for the guys who build custom rods.  I know nothing about custom rods, but I am intrigued by what I have read on here about them.  Could you educate me on the advantages of a custom rod, and tell me what options there are for custom rods.

Ok ! custom rods.. they are alot like tools..  not everybody can swing a 24 ounce hammer thats why make 16 ounce hammer...fishing rods are the same..for me i like rods that fit my fishing style.. they tend to be a little shorter than most people like.. and i have to have the spiral wrap .. all the rods that basslegion has made for me..have been altered in some way.. when i get 7' blank he cuts it down to 6'7" OR  6'3" those are the rod lengths that i prefer..i feel i fish better with those.. i feel that with the spiral wrap. i have a faster hook set . and longer distance with my cast..also the spiral wrap let the blank preform like it suppose to...with a natural bend.. you cant just go to walmart or basspro to get the prefect rod for you.. even golf most clubs are fitted to the golfer..they well have a better game if the club fits..one of the best thing about custom rods.. you can have them look any way you want.. custom colors, handles, guides and so on..go to basslegions photo page he has a couple rods he made on there. one of them he made for me.. i highly recommend if your interested in a custom rod you talk to him..i am sure he can help you out.. i have fished many kinds of fishing rods in my life his are by far the best for me....
