what do you think about spinnerbaits.. do you like to burn them slow roll or bottom bounce them..also do you like single spin or tandam blades... just trying to get a feel for what people like....
The way I fish them just depends on the water and conditions at the time. For me I try a variety of retrieves until I catch fish, then I continue using that technic until it stops producing.
I have been experiencing the joy of fly fishing for trout, salmon, smallmouth bass and chain pickerel for 20 years or so and still get as excited as a kid at Christmas time.
Where can I get one of those Dennisthemennace US open shad colored baits LOL I have just started using spinnerbaits so I do not have any personal preference yet
I have found on lake norman that since the banks really get pounded by spinners all year that i have looked for something different and i have been using boo-yahs spinners with either 3 or 4 willows on it.... it really seems to work well with the extra flash... and the slight difference so they get to see something they arent used to
i have been making spinnerbait for many years.. what i like is a 1/2os double willow 4 on front and 7 willow on back.. that is a big bass spinnerbait.. in a white / chartruese color...
I am not a huge spinnerbait guy but I go with Secret Weapon Lures spinnerbaits, you can build them as you fish and conditions change. Change the blade size and type on the fly. www.secretweaponlures.com
My favorite color is Avenger Blue, the Spots really love this color.
Never have been a fan of baits that you assemble at the lake.. for my money the solid made baits, are stronger and more durable.. the avenger blue is a good lookin color...
