How do I resize pictures so that I can put them in the gallery?

1. Download picasa from http://picasa.google.com, and install it.
2. Click on the picture you want to use
3. Click export
4. Change the number to 500 in the box that says resize to … pixels (this is as big as the page will use anyway)
5. Click OK

The folder containing the new resized picture will open automatically.  You will need to know where this is so that you can upload the pictures in the gallery.
